In 2004 local wood turner Andrew Noyes was commissioned to restructure
the existing community notice board with a new surround carved from oak.
Andrew, who had begun working with wood as a hobby some ten years previously,
and had made signs for Clayfield Copse, said it was one of the largest
pieces he had done and quite difficult to manoeuvre, but he was pleased
with the result.
The board can be used by local people, free of charge, to promote forthcoming
events and activities, providing those are not political in nature. Small
local 'for sale' items can be posted too. EGRA members regularly maintain
it, but the association bears no responsibility for content of adverts.
