Slender St Johns-wort

Slender St Johns-wort has yellow flowers similar to others in the same family, but can be identified more readily from the leaves which are oval with a heart shaped base and translucent dots. The plant itself is quite slender, after its name.

It is intolerant of lime, but on other soils is locally common throughout; on heaths, dry grassland and open woods. In flower from mid summer to early autumn.
