Cuckoo Pint

The Cuckoo Pint, alias Lords and Ladies or occasionally Wild Arum, would be very difficult to mistake for anything else. The leaves are arrow-shaped and shiny, the flowers on a kind of spike called a spadix.

Found in woodlands and hedge banks in spring, more commonly in the south. The red berries are poisonous.
