The Dandelion gives its name to a large number of sub-species, often very difficult to accurately identify. The Common Dandelion is common and widespread, golden yellow with a large number of rays. The flowers are first seen in early spring and will continue to appear until late autumn. Most frequently found in grassland, including lawns, it is also a persistent garden weed.
