Guelder Rose

Guelder Rose is not a rose at all, but a spineless shrub of woodlands and hedgerows. The white flowers, out from late May to late mid summer, are in distinctive flat umbel-shaped clusters with the outer ones much larger than the inner ones.

Common except in the far north of England and in Scotland.
