Black Nightshade
 

 

A tough weed with blackish stems, Black Nightshade has flowers similar to those of a potato or a tomato, white with yellow anthers (pollen producing part).

A weed of cultivated and waste ground, the flowers appear from late summer to mid autumn. Very common in the south east, much less so further north. Poisonous.
