Lesser Burdock
 

 

Lesser Burdock is a bushy plant with purple flowers surrounded by a bristly globe which when fruited will attach itself to fur and clothing.

It is distinguishable from Greater Burdock by its hollow leaf stalks. Found near hedgerows or in waste ground in late summer.
