Coralroot is a member of the cabbage family, very similar to Cuckoo flower. An erect plant with lilac-purple 4-petalled flowers and distinctive dark purple bulbils at the base of the leaves up the stem.

A rather uncommon plant found in dampish woods mainly in the Chilterns and parts of Kent. In flower from mid to late spring.
