Summer Snowflake (Loddon Lily)

The Summer Snowflake, also locally known as the Loddon Lily, is similar in appearance to a snowdrop, but both the plant and the flowers are larger and the flowers are more bell-shaped. The flowers are white with a green tip, appearing from mid to late spring (despite the name).

Found in damp places, beside rivers and streams, and sometimes in large numbers, especially in damp copses. Found mainly in the south, especially near the River Loddon and the Thames.
