Common Star of Bethlehem

The Common Star of Bethlehem has white star-like flowers with a green stripe at the back of each of the 6 petals. The leaves are long, straight and narrow with a white stripe running along them.

Found in grassy and woody places, but easily confused with a similar garden escape and probably native only in East Anglia. In flower in late spring and into early summer.
