Common Water Crowfoot

There are many species of the aquatic Water Crowfoot, and the Common Water Crowfoot likes slow-flowing streams on which it can develop into vast mats, flowering mainly in May and June. It is often considered an invasive weed and I have spent many a happy hour trying to help eradicate it from Ewelme Brook ... but with little success. Actually, the Environment Agency do recommend that not all is destroyed as it does have benefits to some wildlife.
