Knapweed Broomrape

Broomrapes are parasitic plants, living on the roots of other plants. The various types of Broomrape are often quite difficult to distinguish, but the Knapweed Broomrape, living off Greater Knapweed, is one of the more common. The plant will of course be found in the same habitats as its host, which would be grassy places, usually on lime.
